Cell Phone Safety

People everywhere seem to be attached to their cell phones permanently.  They have devices attached to their ears.  People out jogging are on the phone.  People driving are on the phone.  People eating are on the phone. People shopping for groceries are on the phone.

This week I want to talk about something very important--EMF or electromagnetic frequencies.  If you are on a cell phone most of the day, you need to be protected.  If you are using a PDA, you need to be protected.  If you talk on a cordless telephone, you need to be protected.

The problem is that we love everything wireless--cell phones, cordless phones, iPods, PDAs, Bluetooth, laptops, etc.  There is more and more evidence that EMR (electromagnetic radiation) emitted from all of these devices can have a devastating effect on our health and wellness.

Electropollution may be the greatest health risk of the 21st Century because of the stress it puts on the body!

I researched many companies to find legitimate cell phone chips and home EMF protectors that have been tested and proven.  I chose Biopro.  In fact, I believe in the products so much that I have joined the company.

Please get a cell phone chip for yourself and your family. Children must have protection when using cell phones and video games.  Their body systems and brains are still developing and they are vulnerable.

If you are pregnant, please limit your cell phone use as much as possible.

To find out about Biopro and to order your cell chips for yourself and your family please go to:  www.mybiopro.com/makingwellnessfun

Fluoride being Added to Water!

I was shocked and dismayed to see information in my latest water bill that fluoride is being added to our water supply.  Wonder what person in their wisdom made this final decision?  Who is making the money selling the fluoride?  Where does the money trail begin and end?

The truth is for every study that shows fluoride prevents tooth decay, you can find one that states the dangers of ingesting or applying fluoride to the teeth.

If you are not filtering your water now, and fluoride is coming to a theatre near you, here is another reason!  You will need a reverse osmosis system in order to filter out fluoride.  I called my water filter company to see if fluoride can be filtered out, perhaps you could do the same.

Here is just one article about fluoride I think you may find very interesting:

Become a Label Reader

I confess, it takes me a little longer in the grocery store. Why?  Because I read the labels.  If you have not shocked or educated yourself lately, read the labels on food products!  You will be amazed!  Lots of sugar, high fructose corn syrup (sugar), soybean oil, hydrogenated soybean oil, partially hydrogenated soybean oil and the list goes on. Lots of things that are yucky (technical word) for your body!  Stay away from the sugars, artifical sweeteners, chemicals, processed oils, food dyes and things you can't pronounce. I urge you to become a label reader - it will improve your health, the health of your family and loved ones, and the health of the World.

There are two great events you don't want to miss in September.  Please join me this weekend for an incredible Anti-Aging seminar in San Diego (special guest Friday night Louise Hay) and on Thursday, September 20 for the kick-off Celebration of Heart-Centered Business Networking in Southern California!  Information at:  http://www.makingwellnessfun.com/september_events.php

Biodynamics and Grapes

I have been blessed to take several little vacations this summer.  My husband and I went to Napa Valley over the weekend to attend a Benefit.  We happened to visit Grgich Hills Winery while we were there.  I was very interested in the way they grow their grapes.  They had already been farming organically since 2000, and in 2006 they converted all of their acreage to biodynamic farming as well.

Rudolf Steiner, an Austrian scientist, developed anthrosophy-a theory of spiritual science that takes a spiritual view of the relationship between human beings and the cosmos but with an emphasis on knowing, not faith-and biodynamics developed as the agricultural facet of that.

Biodynamic farming goes further than organic farming by looking at the forces of nature, not just substances added or not added to the soil.  Biodynamics also uses much smaller quantities of natural preparations, similar to homeopathic medicine principles. The biodynamic preparations include things like yarrow, ground quartz, chamomile, and stinging nettle tea.  The winery also uses the cycles of the moon to determine when to plant, prune, water and harvest for optimum grapes.

What an honorable way to work with Mother Nature and do business!

How was the wine you ask?  Delicious!

Until next time.  To your Health and Joy!  Blessings, Miluna

When is Your Vacation?

When is your vacation?  What do you mean you are not taking one?  Why not?  Do yourself a favor and schedule a few days off, even a long weekend off.  It will do your body and mind and emotions a world of good.  You will come back fresher and with new ideas.

Fifty percent of Americans don't take vacations.  Here are some facts from the New York Times:  A Families and Work Institute study found that overworked employees are more likely to make mistakes, to be angry at their employers and at colleagues who do not work as hard. These employees are also more likely to have higher stress levels, experience symptoms of clinical depression, report poorer health and neglect themselves.

I take time away from home because as an entrepreneur, I work out of my home a lot.  I feel a need to achieve in my home office.  It is necessary for me to be in a new environment.

Last week I went out to the desert to a hot springs.  By myself. Yes, it was 109 degrees.  Yes, the water was very warm.  Yes, it was incredible.  Native American land. Very few tourists.  No telephone, no television, and my cell phone had no signal.  I can't tell you had good I felt.  How relaxed.  How healing the waters were. It helped me tremendously on my own healing journey.

Give yourself the gift of some time off.  Are you getting out your calendars?  Promise?

I wish you abundant health and blessings.  Until next time, Miluna

Do You Have a "bad" Body Part?

I hear people say "I have a bad foot" or "I have a bad back".  Do you hear and feel the energy surrounding these statements?  Why would you declare a body part "bad"?  Do you want to punish part of your body?  Do you expect your body to be a machine despite how you treat it?  First of all these statements have limitation written into them.  Second of all, what do you mean by "bad"?

The truth is that in order to heal our bodies we must show respect and be aware of what we say and think about them.  Our physical body is a miracle of intricacies and perfect design. We must accept the current situation in order to move forward and heal-not resent and label and be angry.

What would be more accurate and empowering are statements like, "I injured my foot" or "My foot is healing" or "I have been feeling sensitivity in my back".

Health and Blessings.  Until next time...Miluna

Singing and Yelling for Health?

When was the last time you sang?  You may be one of those people who was told not to sing.  Or that you were tone deaf.  Or any number of criticisms.  I could always sing, have been a musician for years, and yet plenty of people including a college professor told me "I didn't have a big enough voice."

Ah, just one of the ways to keep us controlled and keep us quiet!  Is your 5th chakra all muddy and clogged from not expressing yourself and your truth?

The next time you need to work through an emotion try singing through it.  Or yelling through it.  Work that voice!  Feel it and heal it!  Clean out that 5th chakra at the throat!  Do it when you are alone so that you can let "loose" and move that energy through the body!

Until next time...to your health and wholeness always!    Blessings,  Miluna

Clean Water for Health

Let's take a look at the water you are drinking and the water you shower or bathe in.  Tap water is not safe because it contains chlorine and in some cases other toxins including flouride.  Your drinking water needs to be filtered or bottled.  Do your homework.  Some bottled water is no better than tap water.  You should drink around half your body weight in ounces every day.  For example if you weigh 150 lbs., you should drink around 75 ounces of water daily. It is our job to replenish the water that already exists in our body's composition!

There are good filters available for showers and bathtubs.  If you are showering in unfiltered water, you are ingesting more chlorine than if you drank the water.  Our skin is the largest absorber in our body.

Make sure that what it is absorbing is as pure as possible!

May God/Goddess Bless your Socks off!  Until next time,  Miluna

Birthdays-Celebrate You!

Today is my 45th Birthday!  I celebrated Saturday by having a party and Sunday by going skydiving.  It was amazing and fun and I will jump again!

Many people won't tell anyone what their age is or when their birthday is.  I wonder why...I think they don't want to look at the fact that another year has passed.  Isn't it more fun to take charge of your life and do what you really want?  What is important to you?  I say if you are on purpose and getting things done and growing as a spirit, why wouldn't you want to celebrate?  Forget all of this false humility and lying about age.  I am grateful to be alive and healed and healthy and living my soul's purpose.  Take a look at your belief system about your birthday.  You can be a gift back to our Creator, why not celebrate?

I wish you a warm and wonderful 4th of July-celebrate the Freedom that we have!  If your birthday is in July, celebrate you!

Until next week.  Abundant health and blessings...Miluna

Fear and the Truth

What scares you?  What are you afraid of?  I want to encourage you to play big and "tackle" those fears.  There are really only two choices:  love and fear.  Which one makes more sense?  Which one feels better?  Some people seem to be afraid of everything.  We were not created to live from fear.  Our country seems to enjoy negative news, fear of people and things, and people living small and quiet because of their fears.  Fear keeps you from living your life.

I invite you to uncover and release one fear that is holding you back from joy:

1. Look at it from a logical point of view.

2. Look at it from a spiritual or "higher" point of view.

3. Is it your fear or did you accept or learn it?

4. Is it really in your belief system?

5. Has it served a purpose in the past?

6. Is it serving a purpose now?

7. If not, are you willing to release it?

8. If yes, boldly tell the fear "you have served your purpose and you must leave now".

9. Imagine it going up to the sun and being transformed into love.

10. Breathe!

I wish you a fearless and big and healthy life!

Until next time,  Miluna

Formula 1 Drivers and Health

I am off to the Formula 1 auto race in Indianapolis in a couple of days.  Yes, I love the speed and the fast cars!  Some of the most beautifully engineered cars in the world.  The discipline of the drivers.  The unpredictability.  The way the pit crews work together. Now, what does this have to do with health?

The drivers are some of the healthiest and most ambitious men (sorry, no women drivers yet) in the world.  Last year's winner was Michael Schumacher.  He talked about his training regime, which was 3-4 hours a day.  The drivers need incredible strength just to withstand the G-forces from the car.  They all eat the best food, have intense work-out schedules, and the dedication to develop the mental and emotional focus needed to win races in a highly competitive sport.  They know their strength and health and attitude may win them a race if they've got the car!

Do you have the discipline needed to care for your body and mind like an athlete?

Until next time.  Abundant Health and Blessings, Miluna

The Energy of your Food

Instead of focusing on calories this week, how about focusing on the energy of your food?  How much life force does what you are about to eat contain?  Is it in a recognizable form to the body or has it been so altered and chemicalized that the body thinks it is a foreign object?  In most cases, the closer a food is to it's whole food form the more nutrients and ingredients it still contains.  Because Mother Nature provides us with perfect foods in whole form, it is best to leave them that way.  If you remove part of the plant, the whole value is not there.  The whole life force and energy of the plant is no longer there.  Organic does matter because the plant is free to grow into its "wholeness" free from pesticides and chemical "detours".  Why do you think bugs will eat the organics first?  They know where the best lunch in town is! Organic farmers have quite a challenge!  Also, scientists have tested animals by putting out two dishes of food-one traditionally grown and one genetically-altered.  The animals would not touch the genetically altered.  Do you think animals know something we don't?  Perhaps they are better at caring for their health than we are.  Hum...

Do yourself a favor--ponder the energy of your food this week.  Really think about what you are about to eat (and drink).

May God/Goddess Bless your Socks Off!   Until next time, Miluna

Mother Nature's Alchemy

Did you ever ponder the abundance and healthful substances mother earth provides?   I was watching a re-run of Walker, Texas Ranger.  I know--but I like smart detective shows and the "good guys" always win!  Walker and Alex were out in the wilderness in Utah searching for a plane that had crashed.  Walker was attacked by a mama bear and was slashed in the chest. He and Alex went searching through the forest for plants and herbs including Valerian that would prevent infection in the wound.  They heated a liquid brew and applied it to his bandages.  Mother Earth holds so many answers and solutions within her plants and herbs and trees and flowers and foods.  Why not reach for an herbal tea or essential oil or flower essence when you need health support?

Until next week.  Abundant Health and Blessings!

Lean People Don't Eat?

Alright, it is time to come clean!  I am thin because I do not eat!  Twice in the last week when I was working out at the gym ladies said to me "you look great--you must not eat!"

Ah, the hogwash that exists around food and diet and exercise. Of course I eat.  It is best for my survival! You'd be surprised how much I can eat. Sometimes I do eat a lot.  I just eat the right foods for me.  I am smart about what I eat.  I don't eat a bunch of garbage.  I hope you are smiling by now.  I am here to challenge your beliefs about eating and being thin and being fat, etc.

Another comment made last week--oh, you don't have kids.  That's why you are so thin! Actually, I have several beautiful friends with children and they are not fat!

Actually, I am not thin.  I am lean and strong and I have curves.  I weigh what I am supposed to for a small-boned woman.

Let's drop all of the reasons and excuses and comparisons.  These comments are not logical, practical or true.  They also are not fun and on top of that they are heavy!

If you want to be strong and healthy and at your best weight, you must change the way you think about your body and your weight.  Drop all of the brainwashing and stereotypes and silliness!

Go out there and challenge your belief system and have fun!  May Goddess Bless your Socks off!

Full Moon and Wellness?

Tonight, April 2, 2007 is a Full Moon.  These interesting tidbits come from the Farmer's Almanac:

• Full Pink Moon - April This name came from the herb moss pink, or wild ground phlox, which is one of the earliest widespread flowers of the spring. Other names for this month's celestial body include the Full Sprouting Grass Moon, the Egg Moon, and among coastal tribes the Full Fish Moon, because this was the time that the shad swam upstream to spawn.

The Chippewa tribe called this month's Full Moon the "broken snowshoe Moon" because the crusty snow common in later winter could break the webbing on snowshoes.

The Full Moon has always fascinated us.  The native American people are particularly respectful of the Moon and have very specific names for each Moon cycle.

The Moon gives off no light of it's own, rather it reflects approximately 7% of the sun's light.

Herbs and vitamins are most effective on the Full Moon.

The Full Moon is the best time to donate blood as it is in highest concentration.

During the Full Moon blood flows easiest, so no surgery or dental work should be scheduled.

Lunatics is an appropriate name because violent crimes, births and emergency room visits are at their highest numbers during a Full Moon.

I wish you a magikal Full Moon phase. Be careful what you wish for, the Moon is a manifestor!

Until next week.  Health and Blessings, Miluna

Feel Healthier in 3 Easy Steps

Many of you want to feel more health and vitality every day.  There are 3 easy things that you can do to feel better right now.  These may be simple things, but are you really doing them?  How we care for our body is cumulative.  Yes, it all adds up.

Three Easy Steps to Quickly Improve your Health:

1.  Eliminate sodas, fruit juices, and excessive caffeine.  Sodas, diet sodas, and fruit juices are all loaded with sugar and chemicals.  Carbonated beverages can wreak havoc on the digestion also.  Stick to filtered water, and a little coffee or tea.

2.  Walk 20 - 30 minutes several days a week.  Start small with a few minutes and build up to 30 minutes most days.  We were made for walking!

3.  Have just a few minutes of meditation/affirmation/prayer daily.  It is your time.  Perhaps the only time you get quiet and connect with Spirit.  It is that important.

Take some time for yourself. You are worth it.  It is important.

Ask for the blessings!   Until next week,    Miluna

Are you God's Gift to the World?

Remember when people said (and probably still do) "Who does he think he is, God's gift to the world?" Referring to someone who appears to be arrogant, or rude or has no humility.

The truth is, we are all God's gift to the world.  How would we show up if we really believed this?  How would we relate to others in the current world?

Here are 10 ways I believe we might express ourselves in the world if we knew this in our heart:

1.  We would behave with integrity.

2.  We would return telephone calls and emails.

3.  We would show up for appointments.

4.  We would show up for appointments on time.

5.  We would drive with more courtesy and share the road.

6.  We would be free to be truer to ourselves.

7.  We would learn how to say no.

8.  We would use manners and say "please", "thank you" and "excuse me".

9.  We would have the courage to tell our truth.

10. We would feel more self esteem and be more "on-purpose".

Do you realize you are God's gift to the world?  Do you show this?

May Goddess/God Bless your socks off!

Scales for Health?

Last week I decided I wanted one of those scales that measures everything--weight, fat percentage, hydration percentage, and bone mass.  I had not possessed a scale for years, and I never weigh myself.  I was purchasing new things for my new home, and found a scale that was programmable and remembers your information.

It was easy and fun to program and I stepped on the scale (it says to do this in bare feet).  I put my little toes on the cold glass and there was the display in a logical order--weight 99; body fat level 17.6; body water level 60%; and bone mass 5.1.  Wow!  This was fun.

I was mostly curious about my hydration level to make sure that I am drinking enough water.  I was surprised my body fat level was so low.  It seems my food habits and exercise habits paid off even more than I believed!

The manual contains some useful information about what levels are considered "normal" and what you may want to discuss with a health care professional.  The bathroom scale even has a 10 year warranty.

I admit, after using mostly my own intuition to monitor my health, this was fun and informative.  I might even check my weight and levels once a month now!

I encourage you to use whatever tools will help you feel great about paying attention to your body.

If you would like information on what scale I purchased, just send me an email.

Healthy and Happy March days to you!    Until next week...Miluna

Behaviors of the Healthy & Successful

Do you practice behaviors of the healthy?  More than anything, it is what we do every day that adds up to health.  Think of yourself as whole and healthy right now.  Accept where you are, and then move into greater and greater health.

People who are truly healthy live balanced lives.  They approach their health like a business.  They include healthful activities in their calendar.  They put their bodies and minds first.

Exercise is not cumulative.  Our bodies were designed to move and stretch and play, that is why we must continue to do so.  We were made to walk and run and laugh and sing.

What is your inner guidance telling you to do?  What is your body asking for?  Get quiet and tune in.  Is it a walk?  Massage?  To talk out something with a friend?  To paint?  To go see a movie?

Plan on eating good foods and caring for yourself 90% of the time.  10% of the time, eat a little dessert or overindulge.  Get a little less sleep.  Then gauge how you feel.  Choose the higher choice for yourself and this temple for our Spirit we call a human body.

You can think positive and meditate all day long, but if you don't actually have healthy behaviors, your progress is very limited.

Tonight I am hearing loud music from my neighbor, the Ritz Carlton.  Seems they are having a Fat Tuesday party!  Happy Mardi Gras!  Happy New Orleans rebuild!  Enjoy!

I wish you healthy behaviors and habits.   Until next week.     Miluna

Self-Approval

Do you approve of yourself?  This was an issue for me for many years of my life.  I suffered from the "I am not enough" school of thinking.  The "why did I do that" or why did I say that? critical voice.

I received some insight about this very subject several months ago.  I realized that I was looking outside myself for approval.  As if I had to find the key separate from myself.

Since it is always an inside job, it did not make sense to look at it this way.  Since we are created from one Divine Source and that we in fact already are all of the things the Creator possesses, didn't this mean I was approval?  Yes, that is exactly what it means.  I already was approval and all I had to do was accept this fact.

Take a look at all of the qualities that you are striving to have, and you will see you already are them.  You already possess them.  Shift your thinking.

Happy, Healthy Blessings.  Until next week,  Miluna

Relocation?

Well, at long last our home in Burbank has sold, and we can move to the Dana Point area!  I fell in love with this beach community well over a year ago.  After five years, Los Angeles is no longer a good fit for me.

Many of my colleagues and friends are leaving the Los Angeles area to find their new next place.  They are being guided by our Higher Power that work needs to be done by them in a specific city.

Are you being guided to go to a new location?  Perhaps you would be more successful and on-purpose in another place.

I believe we can live most anywhere we choose.  It really is a choice.  We don't have to live in a place that we don't like.  Many times we are to leave a city, a relationship, etc. to follow our soul's journey.

This week listen to your inner GPS.  Is it time for you to move on?  Don't listen to the fear, or the tribal consciousness, or other people's opinions.

Is it time?

Health and Blessings.  Until next week,   Miluna

Are you Good to Yourself?

Hello everyone and Happy, Happy 2007!  I would like to share one of my favorite memories from my Swiss holiday.  We wanted it to snow and the day before we returned to California, it snowed.  My husband and I were at Bad Ragaz, a mineral bath spa.  We were in the outdoor pool which is very warm, surrounded by mountains, and it began to snow.  All the bathers had snow on their heads.  Magic!

Are you Good to Yourself?  I know this is something I "have to work on" and perhaps you to.  It seems we would not talk to others as we do ourselves  I have never done an intuitive reading that did not include directions for more self-care and more gentleness.  It is up to us to listen to this guidance.  Talk to yourself as the God-self you are.  You are created by God in love, with love, as love.  We are to express God or our Divine self or our Higher Power through US!

Today I urge you to find just one way to love yourself more.  Promise me you will do this for one week and see how it feels to be this good to yourself.  For many of us, this is not so familiar yet.

May our Creator Bless your Socks Off!

Until next week,

Miluna

Your 2007 Health View

As we approach the holidays and move into the year 2007, what is your view of health?  I don't believe in New Year's Resolutions, because though well-intentioned, I don't see many people experiencing success.  Instead, think of how you will feel and think about health for the upcoming year.

Here are 4 things to think about as we wind down the year 2006:

1.  You already possess health.  It is an inside job.  Nobody can take it away from you.

2.  What you control is how much health you express.  How do you feel?  How do you care for your body?  What is your true sense of well be-ing?

3.  Genetics are only 35% of the equation, and as more research is done, probably even less.  You are in charge of how you feel, not so much based on your family history.  Sometimes disease is passed down through belief systems, not through the actual genes.

4.  Make an intention to improve 2 things about the way you care for yourself -- body, mind, heart, emotions, life purpose or spiritual wellness.

I wish you incredible joy, health, and success through the holidays and for 2007.

Next time you hear from me will be in January.  I am off on a Swiss holiday.

Abundant blessings to you.    Miluna

Brain Power

It is true--as we experience higher energies as we ascend back to our God-self, our brains are being re-wired as well!  Think of the potential!  Perhaps you are noticing you can't remember simple things or you are at a loss for words.  I find that I can't think of easy words, words I use a lot.  My fifth dimensional guides assure me this is normal and wonderful as we are "lifted up".

Here are 5 easy things you can do right now to enhance and feed your brain.

1.  Drink plenty of water.  Your brain uses water to function well.

2.  Eat foods that contain good fats like wild salmon and olives.

3.  Do crossword puzzles, or word searches or sudoku.

4.  Take a class and learn something new.  Your brain will grow new synapses!

5.  Use essential oils which go right into the cells of the entire body in 20 minutes.

Here is a great oil that I have used every day since my head surgery:  http://www.makingwellnessfun.com/OILSbrainpower.php

May Goddess Bless your Socks off!

Enjoy December.  Until next week.   Miluna

What will you Buy For You?

As we approach the holiday season, what is on your list for you?  Do you forget to honor yourself and give yourself a gift?

Each year I simplify my shopping and the number of people I shop for.  If someone is not close to me I let them "fall" off the list.  It gets easier each year as I move away from obligation and move closer to my heart's wishes.

Tis the season to honor the birth of a Divine Being-YOU!  I honor the Divine spark that is present in each of you.

What is the one thing you don't need time for?  Being healthier!  Instead of another "thing" to place somewhere or fit into your already busy schedule how about the gift of an intuitive reading or a massage or a facial?

I wish you everything your heart desires during this sacred month of December.

Until next week,  Miluna

How's your GPS?

Did you know you have a built-in GPS?  No, I am not referring to Global Positioning System.  I am referring to my definition of a GPS--God Positioning System! Also known as Goddess Positioning System!  Did you know that you have an inner GPS that you can tap into any time?

My husband and I have discussions about this.  He is an engineer and always wants his computer with the navigational program in the car.  I prefer to have written directions and my inner sense of direction in the car.  I want to continue to train my inner GPS!

What are the advantages of listening to your own GPS?  Your heart will never lead you astray.  It may seem like a more "difficult" decision at the time, but always proves to be what is our highest choice for the long term.  With our GPS, we make higher choices from our heart, not lower choices from our ego.  When we are "on purpose" following our life's purpose, the decisions get easier and easier and clearer and clearer.

I encourage you to rely on your heart and soul and inner GPS, and not just computers and technology.  We develop discernment by following our own inner guidance.

Enjoy the ride!

Abundant Health and Blessings.  Until next week.  Miluna

Thanking your Body!

Since it is the time of harvest and thanksgiving, let's talk about our incredible bodies!  In order to move ahead towards greater health and well being, we need to acknowledge what is working.  Think of at least 3 things that you love about your body and write them down.  Everyday bless those parts of your body and continue to build on your list until you bless every inch of your incredible body.  The results we are looking for are only obtained after we accept and affirm where we are right now.  Then, we can step forward into feeling better and more healthy every day.

I am grateful and thankful for each of you!

Do you Choose the Flu?

It is my life's purpose to teach others how to stay out of fear and mass consciousness.  As the so-called cold and flu season begins, I want to direct your attention towards health and away from illness.  Here are 10 ways to stay out of the cold and flu zone:

1.  Build your immune system through quality vitamins, minerals, and good oils like virgin olive oil and the oil found in wild salmon.

2.  Eat lots of protein.  A great protein snack is pure raw almond butter on 100% rye crackers.

3.  Remove sugar and starch from your diet as much as possible.

4.  Eliminate the artificial sweeteners and phony foods from your meals and snacks.

5.  Exercise a minimum of 3-4 days a week.  A 30 minute walk every day will build your health as well.

6.  Decide not to get the flu or a cold.  Don't even entertain the thought.  Are you choosing to get sick because "everyone else is" or it is "that time of year"?   Why?

7.  Get appropriate sleep.  For most of us to remain balanced and healthy this means 8-9 hours a night.  Really!

8.  If you feel cold, have a cup of hot herbal tea, beef broth or chicken noodle soup.

9.  Affirm daily that "I am strong, healthy, and whole".

10.  Wash your hands throughout the day.  Always after using the bathroom, before and after handling food, after using cleaning products, after touching animals, after shaking hands with anyone who is coughing or sneezing.

Don't underestimate the basics and fundamentals of building your immune system.  Just washing your hands with organic soap (not anti-bacterial, it's full of chemicals) will make a huge difference in building a strong immune system.  I can't even remember the last time I had a cold!

Stay strong and healthy.  May God/Goddess Bless your Socks off!

Until next week,

Miluna

It's About Paying Attention

I just read an interview with Eckhart Tolle, the author of The Power of Now, and he talks about our inner purpose which never changes.  It is to be "absolutely present in whatever we do" and he calls this "awakened doing".  He says that most people treat the present moment as if it were an obstacle that they need to overcome.  Since the present moment is life itself, it is an insane way to live.

The greatest gift we can give each other is being present.  There is no more special feeling than having a friend just listen, being greeted with a smile and eye contact at a restaurant or store.

It means we take a break from our to-do list and stop multi-tasking for a few moments.  It means we don't talk on the cell phone while being served in a store or at the post office.  It is amazing that the more technology we have the less we communicate and the less courteous we appear to be.

This week I ask you to pay attention.  Slow down. Stop and smell the roses.  Acknowledge another person.  Really look and smile at someone you are speaking with. It really does matter.  If we were not to connect with and serve our fellow human beings, God/Goddess would have created only 1 person!

Accept your Blessings!  Until next week,  Miluna

You Can't Buy Health

I am concerned by the amount of pharmaceutical ads that are on the television.  It seems we still haven't figured it out.  You can't buy health!  Health is not something outside of ourselves.  Health is as much about thinking and choosing to be conscious and awake, as it is caring for ourselves.

Have you ever wondered why a drug has to be taken again and again for it to "work"?  It is because the body recognizes it as an invader or potentially harmful, and works to get it out of our systems.  Is our body great or what?   Let's say thank you to these marvelous things called physical bodies complete with emotions, brains, and hearts.

Perhaps you have heard stories of wealthy people saying that they had access to the finest medical care in the world and could pay any amount of money, but they couldn't save their own life or the life of someone they loved.  They would give away all of their money if they could have their health.

What are 10 things you can do for your health and wellness that are free?

1.  Walking outside in the sun and enjoying the abundance of Mother Nature.

2.  Smiling

3.  Laughing

4.  Making better choices

5.  Practicing the discipline of healthy thoughts

6.  Hugs

7.  Giving and receiving love

8.  Praying and meditating

9.  Saying no to things that don't make our heart sing

10. Borrowing a positive, up-lifting book from the library

Happy Halloween and May Goddess/God Bless your Socks Off!

Soul Vacation

I returned from my spiritual retreat to Mount Shasta, and it occurred to me that I had never taken a soul vacation before! I went with the intention of deepening my spiritual life and going on a journey, but our entire group of 12 decided to make a huge spiritual commitment.  I had no expectation of this happening.

We began our week at a mineral spa for cleansing.  The waters were amazing, like liquid crystal.  The waters from Mount Shasta contain silica, and it feels like soap or lotion on the skin. The sauna was heated with a wood stove, one of the few remaining anywhere in the United States.  I treated myself to another bath and facial at the end of the week.  I believe pampering yourself is a large part of health and wellness and our physical bodies deserve lots of TLC!

It was my first trip to Mount Shasta, and I found the energy there powerful and amazing.  As we drove into town, I began crying.  It was as if I had come home.  I don't remember ever crying before in any of my travels.  There is a powerful energy vortex located at Mount Shasta.

We ate amazing mostly organic foods, drank lots of pure water, hiked in the mountains, and received spiritual teachings.  Our group meditated, prayed, and asked questions.  We spent time together on the mountain, took a boat ride on Lake Siskiyou, and visited McCloud Falls.  We also spent some time shopping for crystals and jewelry and sacred objects.

We were encouraged to rest and incorporate our spiritual lessons and the energy we were receiving.  I found my sleep was very deep and it was so quiet there.

The vibration of our bodies was raised, and this is so important because a healthy, spirit-filled body has a high frequency.  This leads to more wellness, wholeness and vitality.

Ask yourself, "have I ever taken a vacation just for my soul or spirit?  You deserve it.

Until next time.  Healthy, abundant blessings!  Miluna

Do you Want to be Healthy?

This may seem like a silly question to you.  Why would I ask that?  I invite you to really think about this with your heart first, and your intellect second.  I challenge you to think about any benefits or beliefs that you hold about being "sick".  When you were a child, didn't you get more attention when you were sick?  I grew up with a family member who was over the age of 70 who was on about 12 prescriptions, talking about his lack of health all of the time and still using it to try to get other people's sympathy and attention.  Are you a person who likes to talk about your health?  We all love drama!  If you were really, really healthy what would you talk about?  Make a list of any benefits you are conscious or unconscious of that may contribute to your current lack of health and well-being.  After you build this awareness, you can start to clear some of the beliefs you hold.

I am off to Mt. Shasta for a spiritual journey.  Stay tuned--next time I will report on my trip!

The Real Battle for your Health

Have you ever wondered why so much of our language regarding health is aggressive/military based language?  We fight cancer.  We battle cancer.  Germ warfare.  We are really missing the target here.  At some point, I will get to the bottom of the language.  For now, let's talk about what is important-your health and well-being!

The real battle for your health is to listen and believe in your body's wisdom.  Our bodies give us many, many messages.  Unfortunately, most of us don't want to listen.  Health is not just the absence of illness or dis-ease.

Here are five tips for truly achieving health and vitality which includes physical, heart, emotional, mental, and spiritual health.

1.  Understand the connection emotions, mind, and spirit have on the physical health of the body.  Sickness signals that something is out of balance in the other areas of our life.  Physical illness means that emotionally you are sick or mentally you are sick or you are heart sick or you are in a state of toxicity.  It can also mean that you are cut off from your spirit or soul or God/Goddess-self.

2.  Believe in your heart that your body is an amazing creation and you are supposed to be healthy.  Don't accept anything less than health and energy and feeling good 99% of the time.  We are not designed to be sick, we are designed to be well.

3.  Don't give your power away to the media or to doctors.  Just understand that commercials sell drugs and that profit is the key.   Doctors are great and we love them, but you are not sick because of a lack of a pretty little pill in your body. Make intelligent decisions based on what you already know about the way your body works.

4.  Make choices for long term wellness.  Don't kid yourself that jogging a mile every day makes up for smoking a pack of cigarettes every day!  Everything that you put into or onto your body makes a difference.  You don't have to be fearful about every little thing, but learn what is really healthy especially concerning what you eat and drink.

5.  Do your homework.  Don't expect your doctor to know everything.  How could they?  We are expecting too much of them.  Be a proactive part of your own health and wellness.  Find out your alternatives.  Look into holistic and complementary care.  Respect your body and your body will respond.

I wish you abundant health.  May Goddess/God Bless your Socks off!
